Getting the prototype running with Zend Server

Download the current jackrabbit 2 standalone

start jackrabbit standalone

Download and install Zend Server CE

  • Get the free community edition of zend server from http://www.zend.com/products/server-ce/downloads (linux: you might need to use the dropdown on the bottom of this page to download the tar.gz as the deb/rpm could want to uninstall php5 from your system...)
  • Start the installer
  • Go to http://localhost:10088 and http://localhost:10081 to check if everything is fine
  • If the javabridge is not running, start it from the commandline with sudo /usr/local/zend/bin/zendctl.sh start-jb or turn it on in the admin
  • Linux: You need to call first sudo /usr/local/zend/bin/zendctl.sh setup-jb
  • Test if the javabridge is running correctly with putting the following it somehwere in /usr/local/zend/apache2/htdocs/

Prepare the java bridge for Jackalope

Note: If you use the jackalope-api-tests project, you should symlink DavexClient.jar from the jackalope-api-tests/lib/ directory to zend instead of using a separate copy. This will ensure that you have the correct version.

  • Edit /usr/local/zend/etc/watchdog-jb.ini
  • Adjust:
    and restart the javabridge

check out the code

  • you need git first, get it from http://git-scm.com/ or install it with your favourite package management system (on macports eg: sudo port install git-core
